Snowflake Developer

We are seeking a Snowflake Developer with 3–5 years of experience in cloud data platforms, responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions on Snowflake. The role involves building scalable data pipelines, supporting analytics use cases, and ensuring data quality, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable data models and data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.

- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.

- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

- Develop and maintain Stored Procedures, Views, CTEs, Temporary Tables, and other Snowflake database objects.

- Implement data loading strategies using Snowflake features such as COPY INTO and Snowpipe.

- Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Monitor and optimize query performance, warehouse utilization, and Snowflake compute costs.

- Implement performance tuning and cost optimization techniques across Snowflake workloads.

- Implement and maintain data security, governance, and access control using Snowflake roles and privileges.

- Work with semi-structured data formats such as JSON, Parquet, and Avro.

- Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams,



and other stakeholders to support reporting and analytics requirements.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, query, and data-related issues while ensuring data quality and reliability.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Skills Required

- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or cloud data platforms.

- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, features, and database objects.

- Strong proficiency in SQL, complex queries, CTEs, views, stored procedures, and query optimization.

- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar.

- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.

- Experience working with semi-structured data such as JSON, Parquet, and Avro.

- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Valuable understanding of Snowflake performance tuning, warehouse sizing, workload optimization, and compute cost management.

- Understanding of Snowflake security, roles, privileges, access control, and data governance.

- Experience with Snowflake data loading mechanisms such as COPY INTO and Snowpipe.
