The Role
Junior Accountant in the Accounts & Finance team of Advance Transmissions. An all-round, hands-on role covering supplier payments, customer billing and collections, Tally and bank reconciliation, GST support, manufacturing documentation, payroll support, and inventory records. You will be trained to handle any of these areas and guided directly by the Senior Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable: Tally entry of supplier invoices and TDS, PO/WO/DC/GRN cross-checking, bill clearing within 15 days, payment advice, creditors ageing, quarterly supplier reconciliation
- Accounts receivable: sales and job-work invoices, customer DCs, bill-wise receipt entry, debtors ageing and payment follow-up, weekly invoice dispatch, daily sales upload, quarterly customer reconciliation
- Export: export invoices, follow-up, and bank submission of export bills with documents
- General accounting: bank statement entry and reconciliation within 3-4 working days, journal entries, month-end support, basic P&L; and balance sheet, GSTR-1/3B/2B support, HSN statements, petty cash, audit documentation
- Documentation: delivery challans, route cards, GRNs, DC-wise supplier register, pending-material statements on Google Sheets, document registers, month-wise scanning and filing
- Payroll support: biometric/timesheet data, salary sheet preparation and cross-check, salary entry in Tally, ESI/PT challans, employee salary queries, strict confidentiality
- Inventory support: physical counts, inventory transactions, WIP tracking,
item-wise process costing
- Admin: accounts and info mailboxes, supplier and customer calls, internal department queries
Requirements
- B.Com; M.Com or CA Inter is a plus
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or job work
- Tally is mandatory: purchase, sales, receipt, payment, and journal entries; bill-wise tracking; bank reconciliation
- Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
- Working knowledge of GST (GSTR-1, 3B, 2B), TDS, and HSN codes
- Familiarity with purchase orders, work orders, delivery challans, GRNs, and route cards
- Strong attention to detail and comfort dealing with suppliers and customers on calls
- English and Kannada; Hindi is an advantage
- Positive to have: export documentation, payroll/ESI/PT, SAP or any ERP
