Role Description The Jr. Architect role at Dotand is a full-time, on-site position based in Ambattur. The Jr. Architect will assist in developing architectural concepts, preparing drawings and design documentation, and supporting senior architects throughout all project stages.

Day-to-day responsibilities include working on schematic and detailed design, coordinating with internal teams and consultants, preparing presentation materials, and supporting design reviews. The role also involves contributing to project coordination, tracking design changes, and ensuring alignment with project standards, timelines, and quality expectations. The Jr.





Architect will collaborate closely with the design team to translate design intent into clear, buildable details while maintaining a robust focus on functionality and aesthetics.

Qualifications

- Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Develop and modify drawings based on project requirements and senior architect instructions.
- Prepare working drawings and detailed drawings for project execution.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior, and other consultants as required.
- Assist in preparing presentation drawings, layouts, and design documentation.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with site teams to understand project requirements.
- Review drawings and ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project standards.
- Assist in material selection, specifications, and documentation.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and project documents.
- Support senior architects in day-to-day project coordination and design activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in an architectural firm or construction environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop, or other architectural software will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of architectural drawings, construction details, and building materials.
- Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
