About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Java SDET / Automation Testing Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in automation framework development, API testing, backend validation, and quality assurance practices. This role requires a highly motivated professional who can design, develop, and maintain robust automation solutions to ensure high-quality software delivery across enterprise applications and services.

What You'll Do:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for APIs, microservices, and backend services.
- Perform API automation testing using Rest Assured and other testing frameworks.
- Develop and maintain BDD-based automation frameworks using Cucumber.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
- Validate microservices architecture and ensure application reliability through automated testing.
- Participate in code reviews, test planning, and quality assurance activities.
- Develop reusable automation components and testing utilities.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified during development, testing, and production phases.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve software quality.
- Perform backend validation and database testing using SQL queries.
- Contribute to performance testing initiatives using JMeter.




- Work closely with development teams to improve application quality and testability.
- Create and maintain automation documentation, test reports, and test execution artifacts.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, testing tools, and automation best practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 6 to 8 years of experience in Automation Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles.
- Strong hands-on programming expertise in Java.
- Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and Data Structures.
- Proven experience developing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation testing.
- Strong experience with BDD frameworks and Cucumber.
- Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot applications and microservices architecture.
- Experience automating service, API, and backend testing layers.
- Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance and load testing.
- Experience working with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to validate backend data and perform database testing.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Good knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, and related automation tools.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.




- Knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and quality assurance processes.
- Experience working in enterprise application environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and distributed stakeholders.
