Role Description

This is a full time, on-site role as an IT Support & Application Development Engineer in Coimbatore.

You will be responsible for providing hands-on IT support to end users while also developing, enhancing, and maintaining in-house business applications. This role is ideal for an IT professional who can independently troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and user issues while also contributing to application development and database-related activities.

You will:

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other IT hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows operating system, application, driver, and network connectivity issues.
- Handle user requests and incidents through the ticketing system and ensure timely resolution.
- Support Microsoft 365, user accounts, access rights, email, antivirus, endpoint security, patching, and periodic backups.
- Develop, enhance, test, debug, and maintain in-house applications and internal business tools.
- Translate business requirements into practical application solutions.
- Prepare basic technical documentation, test cases, user guides, and release notes.
- Work with databases for queries, reports, data corrections, and routine maintenance.
- Maintain IT asset, software license, configuration, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, AMC, procurement, warranty claims, and technical support.
- Provide on-site IT support at office and plant locations when required.
- Support users across the assigned shift and respond to urgent IT issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, security practices, system reliability, and application workflows.

Coordinate with:

- IT Manager / Hiring Manager to prioritize IT support and application development activities.




- Internal users and department heads to understand and resolve IT requirements.
- Software and hardware vendors for technical support, repairs, AMC, procurement, and warranty matters.
- Application users to gather requirements, test enhancements, and implement improvements.
- Cross-functional teams to develop solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency.

You have:

- Solid hands-on knowledge of desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and common business applications.
- Basic knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration, switches, routers, printers, and shared network resources.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language or development stack such as C#/.NET, Java, Python, PHP, or JavaScript.
- Experience with web or desktop application development.
- Good understanding of SQL, including queries, joins, basic stored procedures, and reporting.
- Basic understanding of Git and software development lifecycle practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities between IT support requests and application development activities.
- Ability to work independently and provide a service-oriented experience to internal users.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline such as B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc./BCA/MCA.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience covering IT support and application development.

Extra points if you also:

- Have experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, electronics, or IT services workplace.
- Have experience supporting ERP applications.




- Have experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Have experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems.
- Have experience with network troubleshooting and endpoint security tools.
- Hold certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or networking certifications.
- Have experience developing or supporting internal business applications.
- Have experience supporting users across multiple office or plant locations.
