Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Microsoft Infrastructure Technical Architect with strong hands-on expertise across enterprise Windows infrastructure, Active Directory, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange Server, SCCM, Hyper-V, VMware and associated datacenter technologies.

The role requires deep technical experience in designing, implementing, migrating, upgrading and troubleshooting mission-critical on-premise Microsoft infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with banking or financial-services organizations in India, GCC or other international markets and be comfortable operating within highly controlled, security-sensitive production environments.

This is a hands-on architecture and delivery role and is best suited for candidates who have personally executed complex infrastructure migrations, upgrades, security implementations and DR projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, assess and implement enterprise Microsoft infrastructure solutions across Production, DR, UAT and Test environments.
- Lead Windows Server installation, configuration, migration and upgrades, including Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022/2025 environments.
- Perform infrastructure discovery, compatibility assessment, dependency mapping and migration planning.
- Architect, administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, including Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, replication, FSMO roles, service accounts, authentication and security hardening.
- Design, implement, migrate and troubleshoot Microsoft IIS environments supporting enterprise applications.
- Support Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, migration, upgrade, security, backup/recovery and high-availability requirements.
- Implement and support Microsoft Exchange Server environments, including migration, DAG and hybrid scenarios.
- Manage and troubleshoot SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager for server and endpoint administration, patching and software deployment.
- Design and support virtualization environments using Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi.
- Plan and execute OS migrations, application server migrations and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Support application teams during platform migration,



middleware upgrade and production cutover activities.
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions, including replication, failover, recovery testing and DR drills.
- Implement Windows infrastructure security controls including hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, firewall policies, access controls, certificates and security baselines.
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning Windows OS, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, databases, middleware and applications.
- Prepare migration runbooks, rollback procedures, architecture documents, implementation procedures and operational handover documentation.
- Participate in CAB/change-management processes and execute controlled production cutovers.
- Provide technical leadership to infrastructure engineers, application teams, security teams and third-party vendors.

Experience should ideally include areas such as:

- Production infrastructure migration
- Datacenter modernization
- Windows Server upgrades
- Active Directory migration or upgrade
- Application and database platform migration




- DR implementation and testing
- Security hardening
- Vulnerability remediation
- High-availability infrastructure
- Change/CAB-controlled production environments

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 10+ years of overall infrastructure experience, with significant hands-on Microsoft platform expertise.
- Strong architectural capability combined with current hands-on engineering skills.
- Demonstrated experience independently executing complex infrastructure migrations and upgrades.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, network, security, virtualization, database and middleware layers.
- Experience working in regulated enterprise or banking environments.
- Comfortable working onsite and coordinating with customer infrastructure, application, database, security and network teams.
- Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, solution reviews, migration planning and production cutovers.
- Candidates currently available in Oman or willing to relocate/deploy onsite to Oman for the contract period will be preferred.

Engagement

This is a 12-month onsite contract engagement in Oman requiring close coordination with customer infrastructure, application, security and operations teams.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
