Role Summary The IP Billing Executive will be responsible for preparing and processing accurate inpatient bills for panel and credit patients in a multispecialty hospital. The role involves handling billing activities for CGHS, ECHS, ZIPSA, and other empanelled organizations, ensuring compliance with approved tariffs, package rates, and documentation requirements while facilitating timely patient discharge.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, verify, and finalize inpatient bills for panel and credit patients, ensuring accurate capture of all billable services.
- Handle billing for CGHS, ECHS, ZIPSA, corporate panels, and other credit accounts as per approved rates, package guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Review billing entries related to room rent, investigations, procedures, pharmacy, implants, consumables, and skilled charges to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with nursing units, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, operation theatre, and other departments for timely posting of all patient charges.
- Process interim bills and final discharge bills within the prescribed turnaround time to ensure smooth discharge of patients.
- Verify supporting documents, approvals, referral letters, and entitlement details required for panel/credit billing.
- Ensure adherence to panel-specific billing norms and minimize revenue leakage through complete charge capture and timely corrections.
- Address billing-related queries from patients, attendants, and internal stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate billing records, prepare daily MIS reports,



and support departmental audits and reconciliations.
- Operate Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and maintain documentation in accordance with hospital policies and panel requirements.
- Work in rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as per operational needs.

Eligibility Criteria

- Graduate in any discipline; a Diploma/Degree in Hospital Administration or Healthcare Management will be preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in IP Billing within a multispecialty hospital.
- Mandatory experience in Panel/Credit Billing, including exposure to CGHS, ECHS, ZIPSA, and corporate accounts.
- Hands-on experience in package billing and discharge billing.
- Proficiency in HIS and MS Excel.
