Position – Investment Analyst / Associate
Summary: The incumbent will be a part of the investment team of Neo Special Credit Opportunities Fund and will play a key role in analyzing various investment opportunities and taking them to meaningful closure.
Role will involve evaluating various investment opportunities by doing thorough diligence, developing sector/industry understanding, preparing investment models and memos, presenting to investment committees, negotiating the transaction documents and regular monitoring of portfolio companies post investment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analysis of potential investment opportunities
- Analysis of macro and micro economic factors impacting the target
- Preparation of financial model
- Preparation of investment memos to be put up to Investment Committees
- Engaging with external diligence agencies and lawyers to finalize diligence and transaction documents
- Post investment monitoring of investee companies
- Taking corrective steps for improving performance of investee companies, if required
- Preparing internal discussion memos for investment appraisal of investee companies
- Taking recovery steps for realization of invested amount, if required
- Preparation of various communications to be sent out to investors
Academic Qualification and Experience:
- Qualification - MBA/B. Com with relevant experience
- Experience - 1-3 years
- Field of Experience – Experience in the field of debt investments/ credit evaluation/investment banking
Knowledge, Competency and Skills requirement:
- In depth understanding of Financial Statements
- Proficiency with MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to create/gather/analyze data
