Role Description: The Internship Program at Sailung Capital is a remote/Hybrid based in India. Interns will assist with day-to-day program activities, including supporting advisory projects, preparing reports, and helping coordinate internal and client-facing initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting basic financial and market research, analyzing data to support recommendations, and documenting findings in a clear, structured format.
Interns will participate in training sessions, shadow team members during client interactions, and help maintain organized records and project timelines. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders,
and contributing to continuous improvement of processes under the guidance of senior team members.
What you'll do
- Conduct company, sector, and market research to support live advisory mandates
- Build and maintain investor/buyer universes — screening, profiling, and prioritizing targets
- Analyze financial and market data to support valuation and positioning recommendations
- Research comparable companies, transactions, and sector benchmarks
- Synthesize findings into clear, structured notes and client-ready materials
- Support preparation of investor decks, teasers, and research-backed pitch content
- Maintain organized research records and trackers across active mandates
What we're looking for
- Robust analytical skills — comfortable sourcing, structuring, and interpreting financial/market data
- Clear, structured written communication — able to turn research into a crisp narrative
- Genuine interest in finance, investment banking, or entrepreneurship
- Coursework or project experience in finance/economics is a plus
- Proficient with spreadsheets and presentation tools; strong attention to detail
- Comfortable doing independent research with minimal hand-holding, and iterating on feedback
