About the Role

Benaka Healthcare is looking for a detail-oriented Interior Designer to support our turnkey hospital and healthcare infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for developing interior design concepts, detailed drawings, and specifications that translate clinical requirements into functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing healthcare environments.

You will play a critical role in shaping patient areas, clinical spaces, and staff environments, ensuring designs are practical, compliant with healthcare standards, and seamlessly executed on site for hospitals, diagnostic centres, and modular OT projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop interior design layouts and detailed drawings for hospital spaces including OPDs, patient rooms, ICUs, waiting areas, nursing stations, diagnostics, and administrative areas.
- Prepare interior working drawings such as furniture layouts, ceiling plans, lighting layouts, flooring patterns, wall finishes, and joinery details.
- Coordinate interior designs with architectural and MEP layouts to ensure clash-free execution.
- Assist in designing interiors for modular OTs, recovery rooms, and sterile zones as per hospital norms.
- Select and specify materials, finishes, colours, and fixtures suitable for healthcare environments (durability, hygiene, safety).
- Revise drawings and designs based on site conditions, client feedback, and project updates.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, vendors, and the execution team to ensure designs are buildable and executed as intended.




- Ensure interior designs comply with healthcare standards and guidelines (NABH, NBC, fire safety, infection control norms).
- Support BOQ preparation, vendor coordination, and material finalisation where required.
- Maintain proper drawing documentation, version control, and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design / Architecture.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory); knowledge of SketchUp, 3D tools, or rendering software is an advantage.
- Prior experience in hospital, healthcare, or commercial interior projects preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare interior planning, material selection, and hygiene-focused design.
- Basic knowledge of MEP coordination and on-site execution processes.
- Ability to read architectural, structural, and services drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and vendors.
