Role Description The Interior Materials Purchase Manager is responsible for end-to-end procurement of interior materials, fixtures, and finishes for ongoing projects. This full time, on-site role based in Mumbai includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to project locations.

The position involves preparing purchase orders, maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records, and coordinating closely with project managers, site supervisors, and the design team to align material specifications with project requirements. The manager monitors quality of materials received, resolves supply issues,



and optimizes costs without compromising on compliance and design standards. The role also includes regular market research on new products, vendor development, and adherence to company procurement policies and ISO quality procedures.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order management.
- Candidates should possess skills in inventory control and materials planning, with the ability to track stock levels, forecast demand, and minimize wastage.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of interior design materials and finishes, including carpentry items, gypsum products, electrical and plumbing fittings, paints, and civil work materials.
- Candidates should possess project coordination and documentation skills, including maintaining procurement records, preparing reports, and aligning with project timelines.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and cost management skills, with the ability to compare quotations, manage budgets, and support value engineering.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in supply chain management, materials management, commerce, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience in interior contracting, construction, or fit-out projects, particularly in commercial spaces, will be highly beneficial.
