Position Title: Incoming Quality Control Inspectors (IQCI)

Department: Quality Assurance

Location: Cochin, Kerala

1. Purpose of the Role

- To ensure raw materials and components from suppliers comply with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards through physical and visual inspections, testing, and testing protocols.
- Prevent manufacturing defects by identifying and immediately isolating non-conforming inventory before it enters the production line.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Material Verification: Confirm receipt of parts against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and quality requirements.
- Testing &

• Evaluation: Perform dimensional and functional tests using precision measuring instruments like callipers, micrometres, and gauges.

- Defect Management: Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials into the "Hold" area.
- Data Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records, generate reports, and log defects into the company ERP or quality database.
- Process Compliance: Ensure all procedures comply with health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Supplier Communication: Escalate discrepancies to supply chain or quality engineering teams to resolve vendor quality issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure inspection and measurement tools are calibrated and operating accurately

3. Key performance indicators

- Supplier PPM
- Internal rejection rate caused due to Incoming parts.
- On time GRN clearance of receipt materials.
- Complaint closure lead time

Educational

Qualification





- Education: High school diploma or a relevant associate's degree / technical certification.

5.Experience

- Minimum 1-2 years in manufacturing quality control, production, or a similar supply chain setting.
- Preferred domain is automotive and sub domains can be :
- EMS manufacturing
- SMT processes
- PCB assembly
- Consumer electronics

6.

Required

Skills

- Tool Proficiency:
- Experience operating precision inspection tools (measuring microscope, caliper, depth gauge, height gauge, VMS, PP, LCR meter, Smart Tweezers, ESD meter, Multimeter).
- Blueprint Reading:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Computer Skills:
- Competency with basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP / inventory software.
- Soft Skills:
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Technical Skills :
- Knowledge of SMT &

• PCB assembly processes

- IPC-A-610 knowledge
- GD&T; basics

Preferred

Certifications &

• Skills:

- Knowledge on IATF Core tools – SPC, MSA, Control Plan.
- 7 QC tools
- Internal Auditor – IATF 16949 Certification &

• IPC CIS Certification will be an added advantage.

8. EMS-Specific Knowledge Preferred

- SMT process control
- Solder defect analysis
- X-ray interpretation and analysis support.
- ESD control and monitoring.
- Traceability systems knowledge.
- Functional testing knowledge and support.
