Role Description The IT Manager, Rameswaram will oversee all IT operations at the hotel, ensuring reliable performance of systems, networks, and hardware in a full-time, on-site role based in Rameswaram. This position is responsible for managing hotel management systems, PMS, POS, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and data security, as well as coordinating software updates, backups, and troubleshooting for staff. The IT Manager will monitor system performance, maintain inventory of IT assets, and ensure compliance with data protection and company policies.

Daily responsibilities include responding to user support requests, liaising with external vendors and service providers,



and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency. The role also involves supporting technology for events and conferences, training staff on new systems, and contributing to long-term IT planning aligned with hotel business goals.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi systems, and hardware maintenance.
- Proficiency in hotel-related software such as Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), reservation platforms, and basic database management.
- Experience with system administration, data backups, cybersecurity practices, and access control policies.
- Ability to provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot issues quickly, and coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
- Valuable documentation, reporting, and asset management skills for tracking IT equipment, licenses, and maintenance schedules.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to support cross-functional hotel teams and train staff on IT systems.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Prior experience as an IT Manager or similar role in hospitality or service-oriented organizations is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Rameswaram, manage priorities under pressure, and maintain a customer-focused, service-oriented mindset.
