Summary:
The Indus HRIS Senior Associate – Techno-Functional Data, Reporting & Testing plays a critical role in enabling scalable, compliant, and audit-ready HR data operations within Oracle HCM as the organization expands across countries, legal entities, and integrated systems. This role combines functional HR process understanding with technical HRIS execution, owning expanded responsibilities across HR reporting rationalization, country-specific regulatory and audit reporting (including ISQM-equivalent requirements), and complex testing efforts supporting entity onboarding and integrations.
The Senior Associate operates with a high degree of independence may serve as a bridge between HR, Compliance, and IT by translating business and regulatory requirements into technical reporting logic, data validations, and testing outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Techno-Functional Reporting & Data Ownership
- Own and enhance HR reporting solutions within Oracle HCM (OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts), translating functional HR and regulatory requirements into technical report logic.
- Collaboration on the rationalization, standardization, and streamlining of existing HR reports by assessing business usage, aligning data definitions, and eliminating duplication across countries and entities.
- Design and support country-specific regulatory, compliance, and audit reporting, including requirements aligned to ISQM-equivalent control frameworks.
- Perform advanced data analysis and reconciliation, validating report outputs against Oracle HCM source data and downstream integrations.
- Define and maintain functional and technical documentation, including data definitions, report logic, transformation rules, and checkpoints.
Testing & Integration Validation Participate and/or lead end-to-end testing efforts for new country/entity onboarding, configuration changes, and HR system integrations.
Develop and execute detailed test scenarios and scripts that reflect real HR business processes (hire, transfer, termination, organizational changes) and country-specific variations.
Validate integrations through source-to-target testing, ensuring accuracy of employee, assignment, organizational, and regulatory data.
Own defect triage, root cause analysis, and retesting, partnering with HRIS, IT, and vendors through resolution.
Coordinate and execute regression testing for reporting, extracts, and integrations following releases or configuration changes.
Controls, Audit & Risk Management
- Support HRIS control frameworks by ensuring reporting and testing processes meet documented control standards and audit expectations.
- Prepare and maintain audit-ready evidence, including reconciliations, test results, report logic, and approvals.
- Proactively identify data and control risks introduced by new countries, entities, or integrations and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support internal and external audits related to HR systems, reporting accuracy, and data controls.
Stakeholder Partnership & Functional Leadership
- Act as a techno-functional SME for HR reporting and testing within the HRIS team.
- Collaborate with IT and integration teams to align functional requirements with technical solutions (APIs, extracts, downstream feeds).
- Mentor Associate-level team members and contribute to continuous improvement of HRIS reporting and testing standards.
Education / Professional Experience/ Qualifications:
- 4–7+ years of experience in HRIS, HR technology, or HR data roles with both functional and technical responsibilities.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM data structures and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated experience owning testing activities for HR processes, integrations, or multi-entity implementations.
- Ability to translate business, regulatory, and audit requirements into technical reporting and testing solutions.
- Proven experience working in audit-sensitive, controlled environments.
- Experience supporting multi-country HR implementations and local regulatory reporting.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities and pivot focus as business needs evolve, particularly in response to regulatory deadlines, country/entity expansion, and integration-driven dependencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL.
- Exposure to system integrations (payroll, advantages, IAM, finance, data warehouse/ODS).
- Familiarity with ISQM or equivalent quality, audit, or control frameworks.
- Basic SQL or data querying skills for validation and analysis
