Role Description The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, responsible for supporting the end-to-end employee lifecycle at Akshayakalpa Organic. This role includes managing HR operations, implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements.
The Human Resources
Generalist will handle recruitment support, onboarding, employee engagement activities, and performance management coordination. Daily responsibilities also include administering employee benefits, maintaining accurate HR records, addressing employee queries, and supporting training and development initiatives. The role collaborates with managers and leadership to promote a positive,
inclusive workplace culture aligned with the company’s values.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources and HR management, with experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Experience in contract labour management, including contractor coordination, attendance, wage administration, statutory records, and compliance.
- Knowledge of Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER), with the ability to maintain a positive work environment.
- Experience in grievance handling, employee counselling, conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and workplace investigations.
- Knowledge of HR policies and statutory compliance, including drafting, implementing, and updating HR guidelines and procedures.
- Experience in coordinating internal, statutory, labour, and HR compliance audits, including documentation and closure of audit observations.
- Knowledge of employee benefits administration, including enrolment, communication, query handling, and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and basic knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information responsibly.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous HR experience in manufacturing, agriculture, dairy, food processing, or FMCG organisations will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
