ABOUT THE CHANCE A leading and reputed pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in Oncology, Critical Care Injectables and Specialty Pharma is looking for an experienced Supply Chain & Distribution Leader to drive end-to-end supply chain, warehouse, logistics, distribution and inventory operations.

This is a strategic leadership position requiring a proven professional who can build robust systems, improve operational efficiency, strengthen distribution capabilities and support business growth across domestic and international markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGY & OPERATIONS

- Develop and execute an integrated Supply Chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead end-to-end material planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, distribution and logistics.
- Establish robust systems for forecasting, demand planning, inventory optimisation and product availability.
- Improve supply-chain efficiency, service levels, cost optimisation and operational productivity.

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
- Lead warehouse operations covering design, capacity planning, layout, storage, inventory control and distribution.
- Drive warehouse automation, digitalisation and technology-enabled operations.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of warehouse space and resources.
- Establish systems for accurate inventory management, stock rotation and timely product availability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GxP / cGMP and quality requirements.

DISTRIBUTION & LOGISTICS
- Manage end-to-end domestic and international logistics operations.
- Develop an efficient distribution network supporting specialty pharmaceutical products.
- Manage transportation partners, logistics vendors and service providers.
- Improve OTIF delivery, lead time, freight efficiency and distribution cost.




- Ensure smooth handling of temperature-sensitive / critical pharmaceutical products wherever applicable.

PROCUREMENT & MATERIAL MANAGEMENT
- Drive procurement of materials, consumables, equipment and operational requirements.
- Develop effective supplier and vendor-management systems.
- Ensure appropriate forecasting and availability of critical materials.
- Negotiate competitive commercial terms while maintaining required quality and service standards.
- Balance cost, quality, inventory positioning and operational requirements.

INVENTORY & COST OPTIMISATION
- Develop inventory-control strategies to maintain optimum stock levels.
- Reduce excess inventory, ageing inventory, stock-outs and supply disruptions.
- Establish appropriate inventory KPIs, dashboards and performance-review mechanisms.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service or quality.

IMPORT / EXPORT & REGULATORY COORDINATION
- Manage relevant Import, Export and Domestic logistics activities.
- Coordinate with Customs, DGFT, SEZ/EOU and other relevant authorities wherever applicable.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and documentation requirements.
- Work closely with internal Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Commercial teams.

LEADERSHIP & TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Lead and develop a high-performing Supply Chain, Warehouse, Distribution and Logistics team.
- Drive manpower planning, capability development, training and performance management.
- Build solid cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Sales and Commercial teams.
- Resolve operational bottlenecks and provide timely strategic solutions.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on Supply Chain leader with:

15+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical supply chain / logistics / warehouse / distribution operations.





Strong experience in Pharma manufacturing / speciality pharma / critical-care / injectables / oncology environments.

Proven experience managing large-scale warehouse, distribution and logistics operations.

Strong understanding of inventory planning, demand forecasting, procurement and material management.

Experience in establishing or upgrading warehouse infrastructure, systems and processes.

Strong exposure to GxP / cGMP, Quality Systems and regulatory compliance.

Experience with SAP MM / SD or equivalent ERP systems.

Solid knowledge of domestic and international logistics.

Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, logistics partners and cross-functional stakeholders.

Excellent team leadership, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
