1. Receive telephone calls related to OPD appointments and provide necessary guidance and information to the person calling.
2. Check inventory of the assigned unit / Consulting rooms and report any discrepancies to the Team Leader/ Deputy Nursing Officer.
3. Ensure that the consulting rooms are kept ready with all necessary articles/equipments for the scheduled OPD
4. Receive patients and relatives to the department, check whether they are here for first visit or follow up visit and guide them accordingly
5. Check the vital signs, Height, Weight and Body Mass Index (BMI) when required.
6. Ensure that the patients are attended to and escorted to the consulting rooms
7. Assist the doctor as required during consultation / procedures
8. Provide education to the patient and relative regarding Diet, Medicatin and follow up
9.



Assist the patient to get the investigations/procedures done in the hospital at the earliest
10. Guide the patient and relatives to different departments and escort them if needed.
11. Check and ensure that all investigation reports are available in the patient's file for the consultant to review during follow up visits
12. Assist patients in meeting nutritional/elimination needs as required
13. Indent and receive departmental requirements in coordination with the team leader
14. Escorts patient/relative to the casualty department incase of any emergency

15. SAFETY

- Transports patient within hospital and in ambulance for treatment and or procedure
- Strictly follows departmental safety protocols
