Role & responsibilities
- Experience: 10 to 15+ years of core experience in Ocean Freight Procurement, Trade Lane Management, or Carrier Sourcing within an international freight forwarding or large-scale MNC import structure.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrable history of independently managing and procurement-sourcing 400+ TEUs/month on USA/EU inbound corridors.
- Liner Relationships: Strong, existing network and direct access to pricing and trade desks of top global shipping lines (e.g., MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE).
- The Right Attitude: A relentless negotiator with high financial acumen, strategic foresight, and the ability to solve complex capacity and equipment crises at origin under high-pressure conditions.
- Technical Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of maritime legalities, FMC regulations, container leasing structures, and international trade incoterms (FOB, EXW, FCA).

- We are seeking a high-caliber Head of Ocean Freight Sourcing with the right attitude combining aggressive negotiation skills, deep carrier intimacy, and structural lane expertise. The ideal candidate will take absolute ownership of sourcing space and equipment on the USA-to-India and Europe-to-India inbound trade lanes. You must have a proven track record of successfully securing and executing service contracts/allocations for a minimum volume of 400+ TEUs (containers) per mo nth.
