Role Description The Head – Production / Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for overseeing end-to-end production activities and CNC programming within the facility. This role manages daily production schedules, ensures optimal utilization of 5-axis CNC machines, and coordinates with engineering and quality teams to meet delivery timelines and customer specifications. The Head – Production / Programmer will plan and monitor workflow, allocate resources, and implement best practices for safety, efficiency, and cost control.





The position includes supervising and mentoring production staff, resolving shop-floor issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in processes and tooling. The role also involves reviewing technical drawings, developing CNC programs, validating machining strategies, and maintaining alignment between production targets and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to develop schedules, manage capacity, and ensure timely delivery of components.
- Candidates should possess proven expertise in Operations Management and Team Management to oversee shop-floor activities, lead cross-functional teams, and maintain safe, efficient workflows.
- Candidates should possess solid Budgeting skills to control production costs, optimize resource utilization, and support financial planning for tooling and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining (preferably 5-axis), programming (CAM software), and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T; is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on quality, process improvement, and meeting customer requirements.
- Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in precision machining environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, and communicate clearly across levels within the organization.
