Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop domestic and international trading opportunities across relevant business segments.

Identify and evaluate new markets, counterparties, suppliers, buyers, and trading opportunities.

Structure and execute cross-border trade transactions, including appropriate financing and payment mechanisms.

Leverage expertise in Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), SBLCs, Documentary Collections, Trade Loans, and other trade finance instruments.

Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, international buyers, suppliers, and trading partners.

Negotiate commercial terms, payment structures, financing arrangements, and contractual terms.

Work closely with Finance, Legal, Logistics, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions.

Oversee import-export documentation, shipping, customs, logistics, and settlement processes.

Evaluate counterparty, country, credit, FX, regulatory, and transaction risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Ensure compliance with applicable RBI, FEMA, customs, foreign exchange, sanctions,

AML/TBML, and international trade requirements.Monitor market conditions, pricing, foreign exchange movements, and trade-finance costs to improve transaction economics.

Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international banking partners.





Drive trading revenue, transaction volumes, margins, and overall business profitability.

Provide regular reports and strategic updates to senior management.

Candidate Profile

 20+ years of experience in Trade Finance, Transaction Banking, International Banking,

International Trade, or a related field.

 Candidates from Banking / Financial Institutions with strong Trade Finance exposure are highly preferred.

 Strong practical knowledge of LCs, BGs, SBLCs, Documentary Collections, Trade Loans,

Export/Import Finance, and international payments.

 Understanding of UCP 600, ISBP, URC, URDG, Incoterms, FEMA, RBI regulations,

sanctions, and trade compliance.

 Strong understanding of cross-border trade transactions and international banking processes.

 Experience dealing with corporate clients, international counterparties, banks, and financial institutions.

 Robust commercial, analytical, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

 Experience in FX/forex and transaction structuring will be an advantage.

 Certifications such as CDCS, CITF, CSDG, or equivalent trade-finance qualifications will be preferred.

 MBA/PGDM in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related qualification preferred.
