Role Description The Head of RF and Microwave Research and Development will lead end-to-end R&D; activities for RF and microwave systems within defence and aerospace applications. This is a full-time, in office role based in Hyderabad, responsible for defining technology roadmaps, supervising design and development, and ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding RF/microwave architecture and circuit design, overseeing simulations, prototyping, and testing, and reviewing technical documentation and design reports.

The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, coordinating with clients and partners, and supporting bid responses and technical proposals. The Head of RF and Microwave R&D; will also drive innovation, optimize performance and reliability, and ensure that projects meet quality, safety, and delivery milestones.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in RF and microwave engineering, including system architecture, circuit design, and integration for defence and aerospace applications.
- Experience with simulation, modeling,



and analysis tools for RF/microwave design (such as EM simulators, circuit simulators, and CAD tools).
- Proven ability to lead research and development teams, mentor engineers, and manage complex technical projects from concept to prototype.
- Knowledge of defence and aerospace standards, compliance requirements, and qualification/testing processes for electronic systems.
- Background in related domains such as radar systems, electronic warfare, anti-drone technologies, photonics, embedded systems, or FPGA-based designs is highly beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field; significant relevant industry or research experience in RF/microwave systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and engage
