About the Organisation A prestigious, privately held estate and hospitality group operating multiple luxury residential properties, managed farms, and allied establishments across India. The group is associated with one of India's most respected family offices and maintains the highest standards of service, discretion, and operational excellence across its portfolio.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Human Resources to lead and manage all people functions across the estate's multiple properties. This is a senior leadership role suited to an HR professional who thrives in a high-standard, principal-led environment and has the maturity to manage both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operational people matters across diverse verticals — including household, hospitality, and support services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a people strategy aligned with the group's values and long-term vision
Oversee end-to-end HR operations across all properties, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll coordination, and exit management
Build and maintain staffing structures for multiple residences, farms, and operational teams; define role clarity, reporting lines, and manpower norms
Establish and implement SOPs for HR processes across properties, ensuring consistency and compliance
Lead talent acquisition for household, estate management, hospitality, and support functions; manage vendor and agency relationships for niche and specialist hiring
Drive training and capability-building programmes for domestic staff, hospitality teams,
and estate personnel — including etiquette, service standards, safety, and wellness
Ensure full statutory compliance including PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Labour Law, Shops & Establishments, and POSH across all locations
Manage payroll inputs and coordinate with finance for accurate and timely disbursements
Handle employee relations with tact and discretion; act as a trusted advisor to leadership on sensitive people matters
Maintain strict confidentiality in all HR and personnel affairs in keeping with the private nature of the organisation
Oversee HR MIS, reporting, and dashboards for leadership review
Support succession planning and retention strategies for key roles
Candidate Profile
Minimum 12–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity
Prior experience in luxury hospitality, private estates, UHNW household management, or similar high-standard environments strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, and payroll practices
Hands-on, detail-oriented professional who is equally comfortable with strategy and execution
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage staff at all levels with authority and empathy
High degree of personal integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with HRMS platforms is an advantage
Willingness to travel across property locations as required
