Role Definition The Head of Design holds total executive accountability for the creative vision, technical accuracy, commercial viability, and execution readiness of every design project at Divine Innovation. Directing a full multidisciplinary studio—including interior architects, 3D visualizers, furniture designers, proposal writers, and BOQ estimators—this leader translates sales downloads into awe-inspiring, budget-aligned workspace environments. The Head of Design personally checks all drawing packages to ensure 100% zero-ambiguity handovers to project execution and purchase teams, while co-leading design pitches to leave enterprise clients flabbergasted.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

- Creative Direction & Enterprise Client Pitching: Lead the design studio in crafting innovative commercial office concepts, while personally joining the Sales team to present and defend high-ticket enterprise design pitches.
- Airtight Technical Documentation & Execution Handoff: Rigorously check and vet 100% of technical drawings (GFCs, MEP, civil, ceiling, layout) to ensure project execution teams receive flawless packages requiring zero back-and-forth clarification.
- Design-to-Budget & BOQ Governance: Direct the in-house BOQ and proposal team to ensure all creative concepts strictly adhere to targeted client budgets and Divine Innovation’s gross margin requirements.
- Factory Integration & Furniture Design Leadership: Oversee the internal furniture design team to produce exact, production-ready factory shop drawings for custom joinery and workstations manufactured at the IMT Manesar plant.

Tasks and Activities 1. Creative Direction & Enterprise Client Pitching

- Take comprehensive project downloads from the Sales team, converting client headcount, aesthetic, and functional requirements into world-class design solutions.
- Direct and mentor the studio team (interior designers, 3D renderers, space planners) to deliver designs that exceed client expectations ("happily flabbergast" the client).




- Partner with Sales Managers on key enterprise accounts to lead design presentations, walk CXOs through 3D models, and articulate design rationale.
- Enforce strict adherence to Divine Innovation's Process System Structure (PSS) for design SLA turnaround times from sales download to proposal delivery.

2. Airtight Technical Documentation & Execution Handoff

- Personally review, mark up, and approve 100% of drawing packages generated by the studio prior to client sign-off and site release.
- Deliver complete, hyper-detailed Good for Construction (GFC) drawing dockets to the Head of Projects, eliminating any need for execution teams to seek mid-project clarifications.
- Write crystal-clear material specifications, bill-of-materials (BOM), and procurement notes so non-technical Purchase team members can source exact items effortlessly.

3. Design-to-Budget & BOQ Governance

- Supervise proposal and BOQ estimators to build detailed cost breakdowns alongside design development.
- Enforce "Design-to-Budget" principles: either design strictly within an established client budget or establish a baseline BOQ that protects target gross margins.
- Review all pre-bid BOQs and techno-commercial proposals for line-item accuracy, material specification alignment, and commercial safety before client submission.

4. Factory Integration & Furniture Design Leadership

- Lead the dedicated Furniture Design team in developing custom modular workstations, executive desks, and loose furniture concepts.
- Ensure creation of millimeter-accurate factory shop drawings (joinery details, hardware specs, finish schedules) for seamless production at the IMT Manesar manufacturing plant.
- Coordinate with the IMT Manesar production team to verify prototype feasibility, material availability, and manufacturing standards.
