Job Role: HEAD - HR
Position Overview
This position will lead the Human Resources function of the school, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, smooth operational support, and a strong focus on employee engagement. This role is pivotal in aligning HR practices with the institution’s mission of academic excellence and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. This position will report to CEO and the school level reporting to HOS (Head of School).
Key Responsibilities1. Human Resources Management
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes for teaching and non‑teaching staff.
- Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and performance management systems.
- Manage payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave administration.
- Ensure timely handling of employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
1. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, education board regulations, and institutional policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and statutory registers.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, and compliance reporting (PF, ESI, gratuity, etc.).
- Stay updated on evolving HR and education‑sector regulations.
1. Operations Support
- Collaborate with the administration team on school operations, including scheduling, logistics, and event planning.
- Support crisis management and contingency planning.
- Assist in vendor management and procurement processes where HR intersects with operations.
1. Employee Engagement & Development
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and retention.
- Organize training, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Foster a culture of appreciation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
- Lead communication strategies to ensure transparency and trust among staff.
1. Strategic Contribution
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with institutional goals.
- Contribute to succession planning and talent development.
- Provide insights on workforce trends, benchmarking, and institutional competitiveness.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8–15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in education or service‑oriented sectors.
- Robust knowledge of statutory compliance and labor laws.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance operational efficiency with employee well‑being.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
