The Role
As a Graphic Design & UI/UX Intern, you will work on branding, graphic design and digital experiences for brands under SOR Group.
You will be involved in real projects from ideation through execution, working across different formats and requirements. The role requires an understanding of both visual design and the thinking behind it.
Responsibilities
Branding & Graphic Design
Contribute to branding projects from concept and ideation through iterations and final execution.
Develop logo concepts and visual identities based on the brand's positioning and personality.
Create brand collateral including presentations, brochures, marketing materials and other assets.
Design social media content while maintaining consistency with the brand's visual language.
Adapt designs across different formats, platforms and requirements.
UI/UX
Design user interfaces and digital experiences for websites, products and other digital platforms.
Create wireframes, layouts and visual designs with attention to usability as well as aesthetics.
Translate concepts and requirements into clear, functional digital experiences.
Research & Brand Understanding
Understand the audience, positioning, personality and objectives behind each brand before designing.
Research visual references, competitors, industries and relevant design trends.
Use research and strategic context to inform design decisions.
Execution & Collaboration
Work with internal teams to understand requirements, develop concepts and incorporate feedback.
Manage multiple design tasks and iterations within timelines.
Maintain attention to detail across files, formats and final outputs.
What We Expect
Strong fundamentals in graphic design, composition, typography, colour and visual hierarchy.
An interest in branding and the thinking behind design decisions, not just aesthetics.
Familiarity with relevant design and UI/UX tools.
Ability to develop ideas and translate them into strong visual outputs.
Practical design judgement: Work within real-world constraints of time, resources and requirements. Focus on producing the strongest possible output within the available constraints rather than pursuing an ideal solution that the timeline does not allow.
Ability to work at speed while maintaining the quality and effectiveness of the final output.
Openness to feedback, iteration and learning new tools and techniques.
Transparent communication and ownership of assigned work.
Who Will Do Well Here
Someone who is creative, curious and detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in branding, design and digital experiences. You should enjoy solving visual problems, be comfortable exploring different directions and iterations, and understand that good design is also about making sound decisions within real-world constraints.
