Position Summary

We are looking for a qualified and technically proficient Geotechnical Engineer to join our civil engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for performing geotechnical engineering analyses, foundation design and analysis, interpretation of subsurface investigation data, and preparation of detailed geotechnical engineering reports.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with shallow and deep foundation design, soil and site characterization, geotechnical calculations, engineering analysis, and technical report preparation. Experience working on civil infrastructure, commercial, industrial, transportation, or building projects will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities1. Geotechnical Engineering Analysis

· Perform geotechnical engineering analyses for a variety of civil and infrastructure projects.

· Analyze soil and subsurface conditions using geotechnical investigation data.

· Evaluate soil properties, groundwater conditions, bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability.

· Interpret borehole logs, laboratory test results, field investigation data, and geotechnical reports.

· Perform engineering calculations and develop technically sound recommendations.

1. Foundation Design & Analysis

· Perform design and analysis of shallow foundations, including: o Isolated footings o Combined footings o Strip footings o Mat/raft foundations

· Perform design and analysis of deep foundations, including:

o Driven piles o Drilled shafts o Micropiles o Pile groups

· Evaluate allowable and ultimate bearing capacities.

· Perform foundation settlement calculations and recommend appropriate foundation systems.

· Evaluate lateral and axial capacity of foundations and piles.

· Provide foundation recommendations based on subsurface conditions and project requirements.

· Review foundation-related calculations, drawings, and design criteria.

1. Site & Soil Investigation

· Support and/or coordinate geotechnical site investigations. · Review soil boring logs, SPT/CPT data, groundwater observations, and laboratory testing results.

· Assist with developing subsurface investigation programs.

· Conduct site visits and provide engineering observations where required.

· Coordinate with field investigation teams, laboratories, and project engineers.

1. Geotechnical Reports

· Prepare comprehensive geotechnical engineering reports for clients and project teams.



· Develop sections covering:

o Site and project description o Subsurface conditions o Soil and groundwater conditions o Laboratory and field test results o Foundation recommendations o Bearing capacity o Settlement analysis o Earthwork recommendations o Excavation and shoring considerations o Pavement recommendations, where applicable

· Ensure reports are technically accurate, clearly written, and compliant with applicable project standards.

1. Engineering Design & Project Support

· Collaborate with structural, civil, environmental, and other engineering disciplines. · Provide geotechnical input during conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design stages.

· Review engineering drawings and specifications for geotechnical requirements.

· Respond to technical queries and provide engineering recommendations.

· Support project managers and senior engineers with technical deliverables and client requirements.

1. Codes, Standards & Quality

· Apply relevant geotechnical engineering codes, standards, and industry practices. · Maintain quality and consistency in calculations, designs, drawings, and reports.

· Review technical deliverables before submission to clients.

· Maintain project documentation and engineering records.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

· Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering will be an advantage.

· 3–7 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.

· Strong experience in foundation design and analysis, particularly shallow and deep foundations.

· Experience performing geotechnical engineering calculations and analyses.

· Experience preparing detailed geotechnical engineering reports.

· Good understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

· Ability to interpret geotechnical investigation and laboratory data.

· Strong technical writing and engineering documentation skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Preferred Technical Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas will be preferred:

· Shallow and deep foundation design

· Bearing capacity and settlement analysis

· Pile capacity and pile group analysis

· SPT/CPT interpretation

· Soil classification and characterization





· Slope stability analysis

· Earth pressure and retaining wall analysis

· Excavation and shoring recommendations

· Groundwater assessment

· Geotechnical site investigations

· Geotechnical report preparation

· Geotechnical design software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT/OpenGround, LPile, GROUP, or similar tools

· AutoCAD or Civil 3D exposure

· Experience with US/international geotechnical projects and standards is an advantage
