Designation - General Manager - Sourcing (Denim)

Role Summary

We are looking for a General Manager - Sourcing (Denim) to lead and own the Denim sourcing function end-to-end. The role will be responsible for building a strong and scalable Denim vendor and mill ecosystem, driving fabric and product development, leading commercial negotiations, and ensuring the right balance of cost, quality, speed and supply continuity.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Denim sourcing, a strong industry network and the ability to translate product and business requirements into commercially viable sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

Own and execute the overall Denim sourcing strategy in line with category and business growth plans.

Build, develop and manage a strong ecosystem of Denim mills, manufacturers, laundries and suppliers.

Drive fabric and product development, including denim constructions, washes, finishes and newness, in collaboration with Design and Merchandising.

Lead costing, negotiations and value engineering initiatives to drive competitive pricing and margin improvement.

Partner with Design, Merchandising, Planning, Production and QA to ensure seamless execution from development to bulk production.

Drive vendor performance across cost, quality, capacity,



lead time and delivery, while ensuring supply continuity.

Identify new sourcing opportunities, supplier capabilities and process improvements to strengthen the Denim category.

Lead and mentor the sourcing team, building strong processes and a culture of ownership and accountability.

What Were Looking For

12+ years of experience in apparel sourcing, merchandising or vendor management, with strong expertise in Denim sourcing.

Deep understanding of the Denim value chain, including fabric, garment construction, washes, finishes, development and production. Solid network of Denim mills, manufacturers and suppliers.

Proven expertise in costing, negotiations, vendor management and margin optimization.

Strong commercial and analytical acumen with the ability to identify sourcing opportunities and solve execution challenges.

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth apparel/fashion environment.

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

High ownership, sense of urgency and strong decision-making ability. Bachelors degree in Textiles, Fashion, Apparel Production, Merchandising, Supply Chain or a related field.
