Hands-on Full-Stack / Platform Engineering Lead

Full-time, permanent | 10+ years of experience

Annual CTC: INR 15-30 lakh, depending on experience and technical fit.

Location: Bengaluru, India. Remote-first, with occasional in-person meetings at WeWork Hebbal / Embassy One, near Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences, for architecture discussions, planning, workshops and major reviews. Daily office attendance is not required.

THE ROLE

Take daily technical ownership of application implementation and code quality across frontend, backend and platform. You will write and review production code, mentor developers, and work with AI coding agents. Strong backend fundamentals and senior-level frontend code-review ability are essential.

The Solution / Platform Architect defines and reviews the broader architecture. You own its correct implementation every day, translating architectural decisions into reliable production features.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead end-to-end implementation across React / Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL / Redis and infrastructure.
- Review pull requests and AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security and architectural alignment before merge into protected branches.
- Review frontend architecture, reusable components, state management, API integration and frontend/backend contracts.
- Design and review REST APIs, asynchronous jobs, queues and background processing.
- Review database schemas, migrations, indexes, query performance, caching and transaction handling.




- Enforce tenant isolation, authentication, authorization and RBAC; identify race conditions, concurrency issues and idempotency problems.
- Define coding standards, improve automated tests and CI/CD quality gates, diagnose production issues and mentor developers.
- Work closely with the Solution / Platform Architect and contribute directly to implementation.

REQUIRED BACKEND EXPERTISE Strong production experience with Python, FastAPI, async Python, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, SQL, Redis, data modelling and database migrations.

Experience with multi-tenant applications, queues, background jobs, API security, authentication, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT and RBAC.

Strong understanding of transactions, concurrency, race conditions, idempotency, tenant isolation, indexing, query optimisation, caching, distributed systems fundamentals, error handling, API versioning, observability and production debugging.

REQUIRED FRONTEND EXPERTISE

Strong production experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.

Ability to review modern React architecture, reusable components, server and client components, state management, API integration, authentication flows, responsive layouts, performance,



and error/loading states at senior level.

PLATFORM AND DELIVERY

Strong working knowledge of Docker, Git, GitHub pull-request workflows, CI/CD, GitHub Actions or equivalent, Linux, AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure, load balancing, object storage, CDNs, logging and monitoring.

Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform / Infrastructure as Code, multi-region architecture, high availability, deployment and rollback strategies.

AI-ASSISTED ENGINEERING

AI is a core part of our engineering workflow. You should be comfortable directing AI coding agents, using AI-assisted implementation and test generation, reviewing automated PR feedback, and correcting generated code. Validate AI output through engineering judgement, automated tests and human review. Experience with specific AI coding tools is an advantage.

NICE TO HAVE

WebSockets, realtime systems, WebRTC, SIP, VoIP, FreeSWITCH, Celery or similar background-processing systems, pgvector, PostGIS, Cloudflare, high-volume APIs, payment integrations, travel APIs and messaging platforms.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

You can trace a feature from React / Next.js through the API and FastAPI business logic to PostgreSQL / Redis and infrastructure. You catch unsafe transactions, incorrect tenant isolation, security gaps, inefficient queries, poor async logic, missing tests and frontend architecture problems before they reach production. You bring hands-on ownership and disciplined engineering to a rapid-moving, AI-assisted team.
