Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Software Tester with experience in both frontend (Web & Mobile) and backend (API & Database) testing to ensure end-to-end quality, stability, and high performance of our multiplatform software application. The ideal candidate must excel at thorough documentation, tracking issues systematically, and working independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Regression Testing & Release Validation: Execute thorough regression test suites prior to every major update or patch to ensure existing features, APIs, and UI components remain unbroken. Validate bug fixes with dedicated re-testing before release.
- Backend & API Testing: Test REST APIs using tools like Postman/Insomnia, validate request/response payloads, status codes, error handling, and basic database verification.
- Comprehensive Documentation: Write explicit, reproducible test cases, test scenarios, detailed bug reports (including steps to reproduce, logs, screenshots, and videos), and final test summary reports.
- Issue Tracking & Collaboration: Log, track, and manage bugs using tools like Jira, Trello, or GitHub Issues. Collaborate closely with software developers to verify fixes and validate releases.
- Release Quality Assurance: Conduct smoke/sanity tests prior to build releases to guarantee system stability and smooth user experience.
- Timely Communication & Coordination: Be able to coordinate with the team during their working hours in a timely manner.

Requirements & Qualifications





- 2 years of proven experience in software QA/testing covering both frontend and backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, functional testing, and test design strategies.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, or cURL).
- Proficiency in using bug tracking and project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, GitHub Issues, etc.).
- Excellent documentation skills: Ability to document findings, edge cases, and logs clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a remote freelancer.
- Proven track record of executing regression test plans and maintaining test suites across software updates.

Good to Have / Preferred Skills

- Experience testing Flutter-based web/mobile applications.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools (Network tab, Console logs) and server log inspection.
- Basic understanding of automated testing frameworks or script-based testing.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery setup.
- Experience in defining regression test strategies and automating repetitive regression test cycles.

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
