Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Facets Development Lead to provide technical leadership for Facets implementation, modernization, integration, and custom development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on expertise in the Facets platform, healthcare payer domain knowledge, Facets integrations, SQL, and technical team leadership. The candidate will be responsible for solution design, offshore development team guidance, delivery quality, and client-facing technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Lead the design, development, and deployment of Facets-based solutions and custom extensions.

Define technical architecture, development standards, and best practices for Facets implementations.

Review and approve technical designs, code quality, and development approaches.

Provide technical guidance on Facets data model, claims adjudication workflows, extensions, integrations, and modernization.

Act as the primary technical escalation point for development and delivery-related issues.

Development & Delivery

Provide day-to-day technical leadership to offshore development teams.

Assign development tasks, review deliverables, resolve technical blockers, and mentor developers.

Manage the complete SDLC including design, development, testing, deployment, and go-live support.

Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, estimation, technical backlog management, and retrospectives.

Ensure development activities are delivered within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Integration & Custom Development

Lead development of Facets integrations, APIs, interfaces, batch processes, data extracts, and custom extensions.

Design and oversee integrations between Facets and external applications,



including Payment Integrity, claims platforms, and downstream systems.

Develop technical specifications, data mapping documents, interface specifications, and integration architecture deliverables.

Analyze complex Facets data and support troubleshooting of production and integration issues.

Healthcare Payer Domain

Provide technical and functional guidance across healthcare payer processes such as:

Claims adjudication

Enrollment

Provider administration

Benefit administration

Pricing

Payment workflows

Translate business requirements into scalable Facets technical solutions.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Configuration Leads, and client technical teams.

Participate in solution workshops, technical design sessions, requirement discussions, and architecture reviews.

Communicate technical risks, dependencies, issues, and recommendations to project leadership.

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client-facing Facets development activities.

Quality & Governance

Ensure adherence to development standards, coding practices, security requirements, and release governance.

Review and support Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, UAT, and Production Deployment.

Establish technical quality controls and promote reusable development assets and best practices.

Ensure production issues are analyzed and resolved within agreed SLAs.

Ideal Candidate Profile

7+ years of healthcare payer technology experience.

7+ years of hands-on Facets development experience.

Strong understanding of Facets architecture, extensions, APIs, interfaces, batch processing, and data model.

Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.

Proven experience leading offshore development teams.

Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Ability to independently drive technical decisions, resolve complex issues, and manage technical delivery.

Strong understanding of healthcare payer business processes and claims lifecycle.
