Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate project cost estimates, quantity take-offs, quotations, and tender documents. The candidate will work closely with project, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure accurate costing and competitive project proposals.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and project budgets based on drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

- Perform accurate quantity take-offs from engineering drawings and project documents.

- Analyze project requirements, specifications, and scope of work.

- Prepare and review BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and material quantity calculations.

- Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.

- Prepare rate analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and other project costs.

- Compare vendor/subcontractor quotations and negotiate where required.

- Identify cost variations, risks, and potential areas of cost saving.

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management, and sales teams.

- Assist in preparing tender submissions and commercial proposals.

- Maintain estimation records, costing sheets, and project databases.

- Review drawings and technical documents to identify scope gaps and discrepancies.

- Support project teams with budget updates and cost-related information.





- Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and within project timelines.

Required Skills

- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / relevant engineering discipline.

- 2–5 years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, costing, or tendering.

- Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and cost estimation.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

- Positive knowledge of MS Excel and estimation/costing tools.

- Experience in preparing quotations and tender documents.

- Strong analytical and numerical skills.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with AutoCAD and estimation software.

- Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.

- Experience in handling vendor/subcontractor quotations.

- Knowledge of industry-specific construction/engineering standards.
