ENGINEERING MANAGER – SMT & PBA ASSEMBLY

Position: Engineering Manager

Industry: Automotive Electronics Manufacturing

Qualification: BE/B.Tech/Diploma – Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Production Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead SMT & PBA Assembly engineering, technical operations, troubleshooting and process optimization.

* Troubleshoot SMT/PBA equipment – Solder Paste Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, AOI, Wave Soldering, ICT/FCT.

* Manage jigs, fixtures, pallets, carriers and tooling – repair, alignment, maintenance and quick changeover.

* Lead model changeover & line setup – feeder setup, stencil change, nozzle calibration and program loading.

* Drive OEE, FPY, yield improvement and reduce downtime/setup time.

* Perform RCA, 8D, 5-Why and corrective actions for solder bridging, tombstoning and misalignment defects.





* Implement TPM, preventive & breakdown maintenance to maximize line uptime.

* Lead and mentor Line Engineers & Maintenance Technicians.

* Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, ESD, SPC and IATF 16949.

Must-Have Skills:

* 10+ years hands-on experience in SMT & PBA Manufacturing Engineering / Equipment Maintenance.

* Automotive Electronics Manufacturing experience – Mandatory.

* ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) assembly experience – Preferred / Priority.

* Robust hands-on electromechanical troubleshooting, fixtures, tooling, pneumatic jigs and test equipment.

* Knowledge of IPC-A-610, ESD, SPC, IATF 16949 & TPM.

* Strong technical leadership and emergency troubleshooting skills.
