Role Summary

Design and develop power and mixed-signal electronic boards for battery chargers, high-voltage drone power systems, and carrier boards. Handle the complete hardware development cycle from circuit design and PCB layout to board testing and validation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design power-conversion circuits such as Buck/Boost, LLC, PFC, and battery charging systems (100 W3 kW).

- Design analogue and mixed-signal circuits.

- Create schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using KiCad or Altium.

- Follow DFM/DFA, thermal, EMC, impedance, creepage, and clearance guidelines.

- Prepare and maintain BOMs and support component sourcing.

- Perform board bring-up and testing using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, thermal cameras, and other lab equipment.

- Test and measure efficiency, ripple, transient response, and thermal performance.

- Work closely with firmware engineers during MCU and board bring-up.

- Prepare design documentation, design reviews, and EMI/EMC test plans.

- Maintain engineering documentation using Git and issue-tracking tools.

- Use AI/LLM tools for design assistance, datasheet analysis, documentation, and test planning, while verifying all generated outputs.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of experience in power electronics, analogue electronics, or PCB design.





- Experience designing hardware that has been used in production or field applications.

- Strong knowledge of switch-mode power supplies, magnetics, loop compensation, thermal design, and protection circuits.

- Proficiency in KiCad or Altium.

- Basic knowledge of embedded systems and MCU peripherals such as ADC, PWM, I2C, and SPI.

- Ability to read schematics, flash/debug microcontrollers, and write basic Python scripts.

- Experience with Git, issue trackers, and technical documentation.

- Willingness to work on defence and dual-use technology projects and travel for field trials.

Good to Have

- High-voltage DC (400800 V) or tethered-drone power experience.

- Experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or CISPR.

- Experience with LTspice, PSIM, or SPICE.

- Battery management related to Li-ion/LiPo experience.

- Experience with drones , UAVs, defence, or aerospace electronics.
