Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Design and Drafting

- Prepare 3D models of triplex plunger pumps, components and accessories using SolidWorks.
- Prepare accurate part drawings, assembly drawings and sub-assembly drawings.
- Apply GD&T;, fits, tolerances and manufacturing information to technical drawings.
- Develop design details for mechanical and pump components such as:

- Crankshafts

- Connecting rods

- Crossheads

- Gear systems

- Pump heads

- Plunger assemblies

- Valve assemblies

- Stuffing box assemblies
- Convert approved design concepts into manufacturing-ready drawings and documents.

Engineering and Documentation Support
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials.
- Maintain drawing revisions, design documents and engineering change records.
- Assist the Senior Design Engineer with basic engineering calculations.
- Check component dimensions, assembly fitment and manufacturability.
- Ensure drawings and BOMs remain synchronized after design changes.
- Prepare design calculation sheets and testing-related drawing updates.

Prototype Development and Testing
- Support prototype manufacturing and assembly activities.
- Coordinate with production teams for drawing clarifications and trial manufacturing.
- Resolve routine fitment, drafting and assembly issues under the guidance of the Senior Design Engineer.
- Support pump testing and performance-validation activities.
- Update drawings and engineering documents based on approved testing observations.
- Assist in implementing approved design corrections and improvements.

Candidate Requirements

Education

Mandatory:

- B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or
- M.E. or M.Tech in Mechanical Design, or
- Relevant qualification in CAD/CAM with suitable mechanical design experience

Experience

- 2-7 years of experience in mechanical design, machine design, CAD modelling, detailed drafting or rotating equipment design.
- Practical experience in 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Experience coordinating with production, manufacturing, quality or testing teams.
- Team-handling experience is not mandatory.

Required Technical Skills
