Role Description This is a full time, on-site Delegate Acquisition role based in Mumbai. The delegate acquisition professional is responsible for identifying and reaching out to prospective delegates for conferences and events, primarily through calls, emails, and online research. The role includes explaining event value propositions, addressing queries, updating on delegate databases, and ensuring accurate records of communications and registrations.

The individual will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to meet delegate targets and support overall event success.



Daily tasks also involve monitoring industry trends, nurturing relationships with key contacts, and providing feedback to improve event positioning and messaging.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport over phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Experience or interest in sales, business development, or delegate acquisition for events, conferences, or B2B media.
- Solid research and data management abilities, including comfort with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and online prospecting.
- Basic understanding of marketing and event promotion, with the capacity to clearly convey value propositions.
- Organized, target-driven approach with the ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in B2B events, media, or professional services is an advantage.
- Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative environment in Mumbai and flexibility to align with event timelines.
