Role Overview

Build data pipelines on Snowflake and migrate SQL Server workloads, using AI coding tools to speed up the work.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain data pipelines on Snowflake.

- Migrate SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and ETL logic to Snowflake.

- Validate and reconcile migrated data against the source systems.

- Load and transform data using Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, SQL, and Python.

- Use AI IDEs and prompting to speed up code conversion, testing, and documentation.

Must Have Skills

- 2 - 4 years of data engineering, with a Snowflake developer certification (SnowPro).

- Hands-on SQL Server to Snowflake migration experience.

- Robust experience building production data pipelines with advanced SQL.

- Daily use of AI IDEs (AWS AI tools, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf) and effective prompting.

- Working knowledge of Python and Git.

Nice to Have

- dbt

- Airflow or similar orchestration

- SSIS or other legacy ETL tools

- Snowflake performance and cost tuning

- AWS S3 data staging
