Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteer activities that contribute to MT IKAR’s mission. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting and onboarding volunteers, coordinating schedules, and providing ongoing guidance and resources to ensure volunteers can perform effectively. The role involves designing and delivering volunteer training, maintaining clear communication channels, and addressing questions or concerns in a timely manner.

The coordinator will also help plan community outreach initiatives, track volunteer participation and impact, and collaborate with internal teams to align volunteer efforts with organizational goals. This position requires proactive planning, accurate recordkeeping, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all volunteers.

Qualifications

- Strong volunteer management skills,



including experience with Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and Communication abilities to engage, motivate, and support diverse volunteers.
- Experience with Community Outreach, including planning and coordinating community-focused initiatives or events.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficiency with basic office software and online collaboration tools for scheduling, communication, and reporting.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical and inclusive volunteer practices.
- Prior experience in healthcare, non-profit, or volunteer coordination is beneficial but not required.
