About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AVP / VP – Commodity Desk professional to manage and drive commodity trading and business activities for a leading financial services organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day activities of the Commodity Trading Desk and ensure smooth execution of trades.
- Develop and manage relationships with HNI/UHNI clients, institutional clients, corporates, and other market participants.
- Drive revenue through commodity trading, broking, and related products.
- Monitor commodity markets, global/domestic trends, prices, news, and market developments.
- Generate trading ideas and provide market insights to clients and internal stakeholders.




- Manage execution of trades across relevant commodity segments and exchanges.
- Work closely with Sales, Research, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and other internal teams.
- Monitor positions, exposures, limits, and overall desk risk in line with organizational policies.
- Identify current business opportunities and contribute to expansion of the commodity franchise.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, risk-management, and internal control requirements.
- Lead and mentor junior members of the commodity desk.

Desired Profile

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, Management, or a related discipline.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in Commodity Trading / Commodity Broking / Capital Markets.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets, derivatives, futures & options, and trading strategies.
- Proven experience in managing a commodity desk, book, or significant client
