We are looking for an experienced and passionate Commis 1 – Pan Asian Cuisine to join our culinary team. The candidate will be responsible for handling assigned sections, preparing and cooking Pan Asian dishes, maintaining food quality and supporting the Chef de Partie during daily operations and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Pan Asian dishes as per standard recipes.
- Handle assigned kitchen sections independently under the guidance of the Chef de Partie.
- Execute daily mise-en-place and ensure all ingredients are ready for service.
- Prepare sauces,
marinades, stocks, dressings and other Pan Asian preparations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean and other Asian cuisines.
- Handle wok, stir-frying, steaming, grilling, frying and other relevant cooking techniques.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, quality, portioning and presentation.
- Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of food during busy service periods.
