Key Expectations for the Proposed CEO The following qualifications and experience are desirable in the candidate:

- Approximately 15–20 years or more of senior-level experience in Healthcare/Hospital Management.
- Experience working in roles such as CEO, COO, Executive Director, or Director (Operations).
- Experience in managing large, multi-disciplinary healthcare organizations.
- Direct experience with Ophthalmology, Eye Hospitals, or eye-care organizations is particularly desirable.
- A sound understanding of hospital administration, clinical coordination, HR, finance, procurement, quality systems, and compliance.
- Experience working with an NGO, social service organization, or mission-driven institution would be an added advantage.
- The ability to efficiently manage an organization with a workforce of approximately 200 or more employees.
- Ability to work with CSR initiatives, institutional donors, philanthropic organizations, and strategic partnerships.
- An exceptionally high level of integrity, transparency, and financial discipline.
- Leadership capability to effectively lead and collaborate with senior doctors, professionals, and administrative teams.

Language and Regional Preference

We will give special preference to candidates who:

Are from South India and can communicate effectively in both Hindi and English.

Possess knowledge of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam (considered an added advantage).

Eye-care Experience

As a key area of ​​Kalyanam Karoti’s work involves blindness prevention and eye care, special importance will be given to candidates with senior management or operations experience in a large eye-care network, eye hospital, ophthalmic institution, or ophthalmology-related healthcare organization.





It is not mandatory for the candidate to be an ophthalmic surgeon; however, they must possess a sound understanding of eye-care delivery systems, clinical operations, quality standards, patient services, and the dynamics of working with ophthalmology professionals.

Founder Transition

We intend for the full responsibility of the organization's day-to-day management to be progressively handed over to the selected CEO.

To this end, a structured transition program spanning 6–12 months could be developed post-appointment; this would facilitate the effective transfer of the current leadership's experience, institutional values, and the systems established over more than four decades.

Our objective is for the CEO to develop a professional management system while upholding the organization's spirit of service, transparency, and core objectives.
