About the Role Apna Mart is looking for an enthusiastic Category Management Intern to join our FMCG Category Team. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to FMCG, retail, product selection, category management, customer needs and business growth.

You will work closely with the Category Team and get practical exposure to how products are evaluated, selected, managed and grown in a retail business.

Key Responsibilities Support the Category Team in product research and selection.

Analyse customer requirements, product trends and category performance.

Assist in identifying the right products for the right customers.

Work on Excel/Google Sheets for daily business analysis and reporting.

Track product-level information such as pricing, sales, availability and assortment.

Support category reviews and identify opportunities for business and category growth.

Coordinate with internal teams such as procurement, warehouse and operations.

Help maintain accurate product and category data.

Prepare regular reports and insights for the Category Team.

Take ownership of assigned category-related projects and deliverables.

What We're Looking For





Strong working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets.

Comfortable using daily-use formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, COUNTIF/COUNTIFS, IF, FILTER, Pivot Tables, etc.

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Interest in FMCG, Retail, Category Management and Business Growth.

Curious to understand why customers buy certain products.

Eagerness to learn and take ownership.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Freshers and candidates looking for their first practical FMCG/retail experience are welcome.
