The Cash Cycle Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that daytoday Fiduciary UK Ledger management activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in line with established performance expectations. you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of fiduciary accounting. You will act as a key interface between fiduciary account providers, internal business units, and the wider network, supporting the endtoend management of Fee & commission receivables, allocations, and reconciliations.

Acting as a subject matter expert (SME), the Fiduciary UK Ledger Manager ensures that work flows smoothly, issues are resolved promptly, and standardized processes and controls are consistently followed. The role blends handson technical and process expertise with operational leadership, providing daytoday guidance to colleagues and, where applicable, direct people leadership for a team of Cash Cycle Specialists and other accounting operations staff.

The Fiduciary UK Ledger Manager partners closely with the GCC leadership and other stakeholders across the organization to drive process improvement, maintain strong performance against KPIs, and deliver a highquality experience to internal and external clients. The position is responsible for ensuring processes adhere to defined standards while continually seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control. Success in this role requires strong communication and collaboration with other company personnel impacting accounting operations, as well as the ability to manage, coach, and motivate subordinate staff, fostering a highperforming, teamoriented culture

You will be responsible for controlling and monitoring fiduciary Fee & commission ledgers, resolving discrepancies, and driving timely cash allocation to minimize unmatched items and financial risk. In this role, you will work closely with a range of stakeholders to provide clear information, resolve complex issues, and support continuous improvement of processes and controls

Job Responsibilities

Your Impact as a Cash Cycle Manager (Fiduciary UK Fee & Commission Ledger)

- Serve as the SME for your assigned cash cycle process (e.g., Receivables, Collections, Cash Application, Bank Reconciliation, Unmatched cash management), providing guidance and escalation support to colleagues.
- Oversee daytoday workflow, ensuring that work is allocated, prioritized, and completed within defined service levels and quality standards.
- Act as a primary operational contact point for your process, building strong relationships with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
- Manage the interface between fiduciary accounts providers and internal business units, ensuring clear, timely communication and alignment on financial data and expectations.
- Render accurate and timely statements to providers, ensuring all relevant commission and items are clearly reflected.
- Proactively chase providers to settle outstanding items swiftly, reducing aged debt and unmatched balances.




- Obtain detailed payment breakdowns from providers to enable prompt and accurate allocation of funds.
- Perform swift allocation of funds in line with statements provided, ensuring correct posting against the relevant accounts/ledgers.
- Manage unmatched cash sitting on account, investigating and resolving items to minimise unallocated balances.
- Complete full reviews of credits and debits on account to determine the steps required to clear entries from the ledger.
- Engage with providers and the wider Aon Network to resolve queries on account balances, transactions, and discrepancies.
- Assess requirements for adjustments on ledgers, compiling clear supporting evidence and rationale to enable swift action from relevant teams (e.g., Finance, Billing, Operations).
- Collaborate with business units to raise and resolve queries that block allocation or movement of funds, ensuring issues are addressed at source.
- Monitor aged debt and overdue balances, highlighting potential high-risk items and clients.
- Identify and determine critical and highprofile issues which require escalation, ensuring they are communicated promptly and managed appropriately.
- Process payaways in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Support Controllership/Audit queries by reviewing, and providing updates within agreed time frames, including providing relevant evidence as per individual request.
- Adhere to UK processes and procedures, including compliance with FCA regulations
- Understand internal and external accounting problems and propose practical, wellreasoned solutions.
- Maintain and manage the invoice tracker for manually raised invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely followup.
- Produce regular reports to management on key targets, performance metrics, projects, and issues impacting the fiduciary ledger.
- Prepare project summaries and presentations as required, communicating findings, risks, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, trend identification, and preparation of actionable management insights.
- Contribute to month-end close and reporting by validating ledger data, completing reconciliations, preparing accruals and supporting schedules, investigating variances, and delivering accurate reports within agreed timelines.
- Propose and support implementation of changes that will reduce operational and financial risk, enhance control, or improve service to internal and external stakeholders.

Governance, Quality & Controls
- Ensure that all activities within your process adhere to internal controls, company policies,



and relevant regulatory requirements (such as SOX and internal audit standards).
- Support monthend and yearend closing activities by ensuring reconciliations, postings, and issue resolutions are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain and regularly review process documentation, work instructions, and control evidence to support compliance and audit readiness.
- Escalate risks, control issues, and significant operational incidents promptly, and support remediation efforts.
- Maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all processes, review annually, and update as needed.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience

- 7+ years of accounts receivable, cash applications, suspense research & Bank/GL reconciliation
- Strong understanding of UK Accounting principles, FCI regulations and financial controls (such as SOX)
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex accounts receivable issues.
- Proficiency with accounts receivable systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external partners.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated commitment to data integrity.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in a fiduciary, or reconciliation role within insurance, brokerage, or financial services.
- Exposure to working with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in process improvement, risk reduction, or control enhancement initiatives.
- Experience with process improvement and data quality initiatives.
- Knowledge of ERP and financial management systems (such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of fiduciary accounting principles and practices, ideally within insurance, health & advantages, or financial services.
- High level of accuracy and critical attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and robust ledger control.
- Resilient and able to deal with highpressure situations, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities while maintaining quality and control.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) or participation in continuous improvement projects.
- High level of proficiency with technology and standard desktop applications, including:
- MS Excel (e.g., lookups, pivots, formulas, data analysis)
- MS Word (document preparation and reporting)
- MS PowerPoint (presentations and project summaries)

Education Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent years of industry experience.
