Career Counsellor – Admissions & Education Sales

Location: Salt Lake, Kolkata

CTC: ₹2.40–₹2.75 LPA

About the Role:

We are hiring a Career Counsellor for a career-focused education institute in Salt Lake, Kolkata. The role involves counselling prospective students and parents, understanding their career interests, recommending suitable programmes and converting enquiries into successful admissions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Counsel students and parents regarding courses and career opportunities
- Handle walk-ins, inbound enquiries and outbound calls
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable programmes
- Regularly follow up with prospective students and leads
- Convert enquiries into successful admissions/enrolments
- Explain course details, fees, eligibility and career prospects
- Handle queries and basic fee/course-related objections
- Work towards monthly admission and conversion targets
- Maintain proper lead, follow-up and admission records




- Coordinate with the academic/admissions team for smooth enrolment

Candidate Requirements:

- Graduate with 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Academic Counselling / Career Counselling / Admissions / Education Sales preferred
- Candidates from Abacus, kids' learning, skill-development, training institutes or similar education backgrounds would be preferred
- Experience counselling students and/or parents
- Comfortable with targets, follow-ups and admission conversions
- Strong communication and convincing skills
- Valuable command of English, Hindi and Bengali
- Confident, well-groomed and presentable
- Must be comfortable working from office in Salt Lake
