Job Summary The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, and safety testing of medical equipment to ensure all devices function safely, accurately, and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and commission new medical equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
Diagnose and repair faulty medical equipment.
Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate performance.
Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and calibration certificates.
Coordinate with vendors for AMC/CMC services and warranty claims.
Conduct safety checks on medical equipment before use.
Train hospital staff on the safe operation of medical devices.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service calls.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacement when required.
Ensure compliance with NABH, statutory, and biomedical equipment safety standards.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and biomedical assets.

Qualifications
