We are a well-reputed and established company with over 20+ years of experience in the Logistics and Freight Forwarding industry.

We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and experienced Billing Head who can take complete ownership of the billing function and ensure accurate, timely and efficient billing operations.

This is a key position within the organisation, and we are looking for a serious professional who understands the commercial and billing requirements of the Logistics / CHA / Freight Forwarding industry.

The Billing Head will be responsible for managing the complete billing process, ensuring that invoices are raised accurately and on time, operational charges are properly captured, outstanding billing issues are resolved, and coordination between Operations, Accounts and clients is maintained.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Logistics / CHA / Freight Forwarding billing and should be capable of independently managing the billing function.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the complete billing process for logistics and freight forwarding operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of customer invoices.
- Verify billing instructions and supporting documents received from the Operations team.
- Check and ensure correct application of freight, CHA, customs, transportation, CFS, port and other applicable charges.
- Verify vendor bills and operational expenses wherever required.
- Coordinate with Operations and Accounts teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Monitor pending and unbilled shipments and ensure timely invoicing.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, credit notes, debit notes and billing-related documents.
- Handle customer billing queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with the Accounts/Finance team regarding receivables,



collections and outstanding invoices.
- Ensure customer-specific rates, agreed charges and commercial terms are correctly reflected in invoices.
- Maintain billing MIS and prepare regular reports for management.
- Monitor billing performance and identify errors, delays or gaps in the billing process.
- Establish proper checks and controls to minimise billing errors.
- Supervise and guide billing staff/executives.
- Allocate work to the billing team and monitor daily productivity.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of billing records.
- Coordinate with clients regarding invoice corrections, supporting documents and billing requirements.
- Assist management with billing-related analysis and reports when required.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Billing / Commercial Operations.
- MANDATORY: Previous experience in the Logistics / CHA / Freight Forwarding industry.
- Robust understanding of logistics and freight forwarding billing processes.
- Experience with customer invoicing, debit notes, credit notes and billing reconciliation.
- Knowledge of charges related to CHA, freight forwarding, transportation, CFS, port and customs operations.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage a billing team and work with Operations and Accounts.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle high-volume billing.
- Candidates with experience handling billing independently for a logistics company will be preferred.

Salary & Joining

- Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience, skills and suitability.
- Salary can be increased for an exceptionally suitable candidate with strong relevant experience.
