Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Autocad Solar Design Engineer with 4–5 years of relevant experience in solar design and engineering. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings and layouts for ground-mounted solar PV projects, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring drawings are accurate and project-ready.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed solar plant layouts and engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare module layouts, string layouts, inverter layouts, equipment layouts, cable routing and site layouts.
- Prepare and revise Single Line Diagrams (SLD), GA drawings, construction drawings and detailed engineering drawings.
- Prepare drawings based on site survey data, project specifications and engineering inputs.
- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Project and Site teams for design and drawing requirements.
- Review and modify drawings based on site conditions, client comments and project requirements.
- Ensure drawings are accurate with respect to dimensions, levels, clearances and equipment locations.
- Prepare drawings required for execution and construction activities at project sites.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions, documentation and drawing records.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors and clients for drawing-related requirements.
- Support the engineering team in resolving design and drawing-related issues during project execution.
- Ensure all drawings are prepared as per applicable standards, project specifications and company requirements.

Required Skills

- Excellent hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD.




- Strong understanding of Solar PV plant design and layouts.
- Experience in ground-mounted solar projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of electrical layouts, SLD, cable routing and equipment layouts.
- Knowledge of PVsyst and Helioscope will be an added advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret Civil, Electrical and Structural drawings.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

4–5 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting/design, preferably within the Solar EPC / Renewable Energy industry.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in utility-scale / ground-mounted solar PV projects.
- Hands-on experience in preparing drawings for EPC execution.
- Ability to independently handle drawing preparation and revisions.
- Willingness to coordinate with project/site teams as required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
