Role Purpose
The Associate Senior IT Transformation Management Officer is a multidisciplinary transformation qualified who combines digital strategy, business architecture, process and operating model design, human-centered design, AI-enabled work redesign, organizational change, and product delivery expertise. The role supports the portfolio of digital transformation priorities across WBG corporate business functions, shaping direction and recommendations through expertise and influence while delivery and formal decision authority remain with accountable business and technology owners.
Working across corporate-function leaders and business partners; ITSCO leadership and product teams; ITSCO’s AI and technical enablement teams; and broader ITS teams such as enterprise architecture, data, security, and governance; the role translates institutional priorities into decision-ready strategies, prioritized roadmaps, target operating models, AI-enabled process blueprints, agreed success measures, and reusable transformation methods.
As a trusted advisor, the role leads through expertise and influence, shaping decisions, methods, capabilities, and partnerships that accelerate and sustain digital modernization at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Decision-ready modernization strategies:
Conduct research, assess technology trends, industry benchmarks, business capabilities, processes, and operating models to identify risks, opportunities, innovation and investment priorities. Develop business-domain views, capability heat maps, and technology-fit assessments with enterprise architecture and ITSCO’s AI and technical enablement teams.
- Prioritized roadmaps: Translate institutional and WBG corporate unit priorities, pressures and evidence into future-state choices, investment decisions, and sequenced roadmaps. Refresh priorities as business needs, user insights, process evidence, technology options, and feasibility change.
- Target operating models: Redesign processes, roles, decision rights, services, and operating models using strategic thinking, process intelligence and human-centered methods. Define adoption, change, capability, and governance requirements and options needed to implement and sustain the target state.
- AI-enabled process blueprints: Shape AI-enabled work and process redesign opportunities and implementation blueprints, including expected value, technology fit, data readiness, human oversight, responsible AI, information security, privacy, legal, architecture, and governance requirements.
- Reusable strategy transformation methods and tools: Codify practical methods, templates, and lessons from delivery; strengthen adoption through design reviews and knowledge sharing; and lead multidisciplinary teams through matrix leadership, coaching, collaboration, and influence.
- Competence and practice: Coach and develop peers and junior staff, strengthen cross-team collaboration, and build high-performing global teams with clear goals, accountability, and growth opportunities.
Note: This vacancy announcement is for one position posted across multiple possible duty stations. That includes Sofia, Bulgaria and Chennai, India. The selected candidate's duty station will be determined based on organizational requirements and business needs.
