Role Description This is a full time, on-site Assistant Professor of Mathematics role based in the Mohali district.

The Assistant

Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Mathematics and related areas, including applied mathematics, statistics, and foundational physics concepts where relevant. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lectures and instructional materials, conducting classroom teaching, mentoring and advising students, assessing student performance, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role involves contributing to curriculum development aligned with CTPL’s technology-enabled education solutions, participating in academic committees,



and engaging in scholarly activities such as research, seminars, and workshops.

The Assistant

Professor will collaborate with colleagues and academic leadership to integrate digital tools into teaching and support continuous improvement of the learning experience.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with the ability to teach a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Competence in Statistics, with skills in data analysis and quantitative reasoning applicable to higher education contexts.
- Working knowledge of Physics concepts relevant to mathematical modeling or interdisciplinary teaching.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessments aligned with digital learning environments.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level, with evidence of effective classroom instruction and student engagement.
- Ability to integrate educational technology into teaching, including learning management systems and digital resources.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered pedagogy and continuous professional development.
