Position: Assistant Professor – Hotel Management

Specialization: Housekeeping / Food & Beverage Services

Department: School of Hotel Management

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach undergraduate Hotel Management students as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Handle theory and practical classes in the respective specialization.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct practical sessions, demonstrations, examinations, and evaluations.
- Guide students in academic projects, internships, and industry training.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, internal assessment, and examination-related documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities.
- Support ERP and examination-related academic processes.
- Contribute to curriculum development and other departmental responsibilities.
- Maintain industry-relevant knowledge and promote practical learning among students.

Specialization – Housekeeping

- Teach core subjects related to Housekeeping Operations.
- Conduct practical training in room servicing, cleaning procedures,



linen management, laundry, housekeeping equipment, and related operations.
- Train students in hotel housekeeping standards, safety, hygiene, and guest-service practices.

Specialization – Food & Beverage Services

- Teach core subjects related to Food & Beverage Service.
- Conduct practical training in restaurant service, table setup, food service techniques, beverage service, menu knowledge, and guest handling.
- Train students in qualified F&B; service standards, hygiene, and hospitality practices.

Qualification:

- Master’s Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management / relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- NET/SET/Ph.D. as per applicable university/UGC norms.
- Relevant teaching and/or industry experience will be an advantage.

Skills Required: Good communication and presentation skills, practical knowledge, classroom management, student mentoring, and proficiency in academic/ERP-related activities.
