We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Robotics to lead the design, development, and deployment of robotic software for onsite inspection robots. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in ROS/ROS2, motion planning, sensor fusion, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware, embedded, and AI/ML teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robotic software modules using ROS and ROS2.
- Lead waypoint generation, motion planning, and navigation for onsite inspection robots.
- Implement robust sensor fusion using LiDAR, IMU, depth cameras, and encoder data.
- Address onsite coordinate deviations and perform calibration between CAD design data and real-world site conditions.
- Integrate robot software with backend services and REST APIs.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, embedded,
and AI/ML teams on allied platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and version control on GitHub, ensuring structured handover of all deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in ROS or ROS2 development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
- Solid experience with Linux, Git, and Docker.
- Proven track record in deploying robotic systems in real-world environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.
